Ana Lencina Sánchez
Ana Lencina was born in 1978 in Jumilla (Murcia)/Spain. She has performed in prestigious concert halls and festivals in Spain and Europe (Austria, Germany, Estonia and Italy): "Reina Sofía" Contemporary Museum (Madrid), Universities of Alcalá de Henares and Complutense (Madrid), FEX (International Music Festival of Granada), "Tor Vergata" University of Roma, concert hall of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, etc…
She is a founding member of the Sinoidal Ensemble which performs contemporary music and develops the work of the most interesting spanish composers. Through her musical career she has participated in several projects and groups as a soloist as a chamber musician (Sigma Project, Sonor Ensemble, Smash Ensemble, Ensemble Atmosphère, etc…) In 2002 was member of the JONDE (Spanish National Youth Orchestra) doing tours in Spain and Germany.
Currently, Ana Lencina is teaching saxophone at the Conservatorio "Manuel Carra" in Málaga. From 2009 to 2012 she was teaching saxophone and chamber music at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de las Islas Baleares. From 2005 to 2009 she was also teaching saxophone at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Málaga. She has been teaching Masterclasses in several conservatories and music universities in Europe (e.g. in Wien, Cologne, Franckfurt, Tallin, Avellino, Sevilla, Huelva and many more).
She is a graduate from the Conservatory Superior de Música de Murcia (Spain) and from the Conservatoire Jacques Thibaud in Bordeaux (France) where she studied with Marie-Bernadette Charrier.
